Drane on Brink of Second Straight Singles Title at Peoria TT
The Peoria TT is this weekend, and the KICKER AFT Singles championship is within reach for defending champion Tom Drane (No. 1 Estenson Racing Yamaha YZ450F). He enters the event with a 42-point lead over second-ranked Chase Saathoff (No. 88 1st Impressions Race Team Husqvarna FC450), and a win this weekend would secure his second consecutive championship.
However, Saathoff is not out of contention yet and will need to win to keep his title hopes alive. He had previously won at the Peoria TT in 2024, and has been in top form after scoring his first win of the season two days ago.
The event also marks a special tribute to the late Dan Bromley, a two-time national champion who was cherished for his generosity and spirit as much as his talent and speed. The series will host the Dan Bromley AFT ProSport 450 Invitational as part of Saturday's race activities at the Caterpillar Peoria TT.
Other contenders in the KICKER AFT Singles class include Trevor Brunner (No. 21 JMC Motorsports/Fairway GMC KTM 450 SX-F), who won here in 2023, and Tarren Santero (No. 75 Roof Systems/Texas Utility Studies/Vinson Construction Honda CRF450R), who has shown well here in the past.
