Dreamfest Honors Cait Joseph with Colin Powell Medal of Courage

At Dreamfest, the benefit concert for Salesforce's Dreamforce conference, Cait Joseph was honored with the Colin Powell Medal of Courage. The award recognizes a patient who shows exceptional courage, leadership, and compassion. Joseph is a 24-year-old from Sacramento who spent over a decade receiving care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital for multiple complex medical conditions.

Joseph has turned her experiences into helping others. She serves on the hospital's Youth Advisory Council, organizing events to bring patients together. 'To be able to be involved in that, to give that lifeline to the kids who are in patient, is an incredible experience,' Joseph said.

Dreamfest raised over $130 million for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals since its inception. The concert featured performances by Gwen Stefani and Usher.
