Toyota's Drive Connect navigation app is a built-in system that comes with up-to-date navigation, live-agent assistance, and more. Unlike Google Maps, which is primarily a GPS tool, Drive Connect features additional tools to help drivers get from point A to point B.
The system includes driver assistance through a live person guiding you along your route if needed, as well as a digital assistant that gives updates on how long until you need to turn. It also utilizes real-time cloud data to show live updates and provide the most optimal directions to your destination.
However, Drive Connect comes with a price - a monthly fee of $15 for what Consumer Reports names the most reliable car brand. This may be a drawback for some users who prefer the completely free Google Maps app.
