DT Research has introduced the LT365PA, a rugged 15.6-inch laptop designed for law enforcement, crash reconstruction teams, and military command posts. The device features optional Nvidia RTX A2000 or RTX 5000 Ada graphics, Intel Core Ultra processors, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory. Its 1,200-nit 4K touchscreen includes night-vision display options, and the chassis is IP65-rated and MIL-STD-810H certified.

The LT365PA aims to enable on-site processing of video, drone imagery, and 3D scans, reducing reliance on distant data centers. DT Research president Daw Tsai emphasized the need for high-performance AI computing at the edge. The laptop will be available to resellers worldwide in the first quarter of 2027, though pricing has not been disclosed.

While the LT365PA builds on the 2023 LT355 model, it offers upgrades like a lighter chassis, 4K and IR camera options, and a more powerful GPU. However, it also has some trade-offs, including a reduced memory capacity and a lower IP rating compared to competitors like the Panasonic Toughbook 40.

DT Research highlights the potential for the LT365PA to speed up crash investigations, which can reduce traffic delays and secondary accidents. However, the company does not specify software partners or processing-time improvements. The laptop's adoption will depend on individual police departments, as there is no centralized purchasing process in the US.
