Dutchess County Duo Caught Stealing From Home Depot With Narcotics In Vehicle
Two residents of Dutchess County were arrested on September 18 after being caught stealing from Home Depot in Brewster, New York. According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Dennis M. Bussanich, 45, and Karleen Carter, 37, both from Poughkeepsie, were involved in an incident at the Home Depot store on Independent Way.
The investigation began on September 15 at around 6:22 p.m., when deputies spotted Bussanich loading stolen merchandise into a vehicle. Deputies then approached Carter, who was driving, and found drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Further investigation led to the discovery of an unspecified amount of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and Suboxone in the vehicle. Both individuals were charged with various felonies and misdemeanors related to narcotics possession and theft.
