Eccho Rights Expands Disney Partnership with Turkish Dramas
Eccho Rights has expanded its licensing agreements with The Walt Disney Company, adding two new Turkish drama series to its lineup. The distributor has secured deals for Golden Boy on STAR Life in Portugal and My Home My Destiny on Disney+ across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
This move strengthens the existing partnership between Eccho Rights and Disney, which began earlier this year when STAR Life Portugal acquired the romantic comedies Everywhere I Go and My Sweet Lie. The new agreements mark a significant expansion of their collaboration across both platforms and territories.
Golden Boy, originally titled Yalı Çapkını, is a popular Turkish drama produced by OGM Pictures for Star TV. The series follows a rebellious young heir whose life is upended by an arranged marriage, blending high-stakes family drama with romance. Meanwhile, My Home My Destiny, originally titled Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, is a modern drama centered on themes of identity, belonging, and love. Produced by OGM Pictures for TV8, the series has already broken ratings records and sold to over 150 territories worldwide.
Melis Hamamcioglu, Director of Digital Media Acquisition & Content Sales at Eccho Rights, expressed enthusiasm about the growing demand for Turkish drama. She noted that the expansion into new regions and platforms highlights the international appeal of emotionally driven Turkish content.
