Einride and Nvidia Team Up on Autonomous Freight
Einride AB's shares surged in premarket trading on Monday after the company announced a collaboration with Nvidia to accelerate its transition to autonomous operations. The partnership aims to further develop Einride's extensive freight network, which is expected to scale to 1,500-2,000 vehicles by 2028.
Einride plans to deploy Nvidia's Blackwell architecture via a validated cloud partner to train, test, and refine its autonomous-driving technology. This move is seen as a significant step towards automating heavy-duty trucking, with around 80% of Einride's fleet considered suitable for automation.
The company will also adapt the Nvidia Hyperion platform for heavy-duty trucking, working directly with the tech giant to extend the platform's compute, sensor, software, and safety architecture to meet the demands of freight operations.
