Einride Stocks Soar on Record-Breaking Tesla Semi Deal with Amazon
Einride's stock price surged by over 18% on Tuesday after the company announced its largest Tesla Semi procurement in history. The Swedish logistics technology provider plans to acquire 500 electric trucks from Tesla, which will be used to transport Amazon cargo across five major U.S. states.
The new vehicles will operate along Amazon's freight corridors in California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia, and are expected to significantly increase Einride's total fleet from approximately 250 units to around 750 trucks. The acquisition is part of the company's strategic initiative to transform $800 million in prospective long-term recurring revenue opportunities into operational freight transportation capabilities.
Einride posted first-half 2026 revenues of $27 million, representing a 26% increase compared to the previous year. Management projects that revenue growth will accelerate to more than double current levels during the second half of 2026, with projected expansion rates ranging from 60% to 75% year-over-year.
