Elite Investors Unite Behind Amazon, Alphabet, and Uber
Three high-profile investors have converged on Amazon, Alphabet, and Uber in their portfolios. Bill Ackman's Pershing Square holds Amazon at around 17% of its portfolio and Uber at roughly 16%, while David Tepper's Appaloosa added to both after their strong Q1 2026 results.
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway more than doubled its Alphabet stake, drawn by the company's forward P/E of 26 despite a 104% one-year gain and 63% Google Cloud growth. Li Lu's Himalaya Capital also runs a large position in Alphabet at around 44.8% combined between GOOGL and GOOG.
All three companies are platform businesses with high ROE, strong free cash flow, and AI-linked optionality trading below their growth rates. This convergence of elite managers on the same names suggests that these companies may be undervalued compared to their potential.
