Salesforce Crushes Q2 Earnings Expectations With Record Profits
Salesforce, Inc., the San Francisco-based customer-management software developer, reported its fiscal second-quarter earnings on Wednesday. The company's profit came out to $3.53 billion, with a per-share basis of $4.29. Adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, Salesforce' s earnings were $5.90 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research estimated an average profit of $3.27 per share. The company's revenue also beat forecasts, reaching $11.35 billion in the period.
Salesforce anticipates its earnings to range from $3.42 to $3.44 for the current quarter ending in October. For the fiscal third quarter, the company expects revenue between $11.42 billion and $11.5 billion.
