Emirates Unveils Aircraft-Made Arsenal Crest to Mark 20-Year Partnership
Emirates airline has unveiled a unique sculpture at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, marking 20 years of partnership between the two. The Aircrafted Arsenal Crest is a 2.4-metre-high installation created from upcycled components sourced from Emirates' Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
The project was undertaken by a team of 15 engineers, designers, mechanics, and technicians who worked for 34 days to bring the sculpture to life. The centre of the cannon has been reconstructed using an Emirates Airbus A380 landing gear wheel hub, while sheets of Boeing 777 aluminium fuselage skin create the face of the shield.
The Arsenal lettering was individually shaped from aircraft windows and fitted with integrated warm white lighting. Further lighting beneath the plinth illuminates the sculpture and its specially constructed black tile base.
Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said, 'We wanted to create something permanent that could only come from Emirates and Arsenal.' He added, 'The craftsmanship behind the Crest is exceptional. It reflects the precision, discipline, and ambition that define both aviation and elite sport.'
