EPCOT Dominates Hollywood Studios in Disney After Hours Event
The Disney After Hours event promises limited crowds and short waits for a price of up to nearly $200. We attended both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios events to see how they handle the influx of guests. While both parks have impressive ride lineups, EPCOT handled the crowd better, resulting in shorter wait times and a more relaxed atmosphere.
EPCOT's larger footprint and spread-out attractions made it easier for guests to move around without feeling crowded. In contrast, Hollywood Studios' compact layout and high concentration of popular rides led to longer wait times and a more hectic experience. Even when the crowd was limited, we could still see everyone in one area.
Our reporters noted that EPCOT's emptiness during After Hours was a welcome change from the usual crowded conditions. With shorter wait times for attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track, guests could enjoy their rides without worrying about long lines. The park also offered additional entertainment options, including live music and character meet-and-greets.
However, there are some limitations to keep in mind when attending EPCOT After Hours. World Showcase closes once regular park hours end, so guests won't be able to eat and drink their way around the lagoon as they might expect. Additionally, complimentary snack locations can feel far apart once you're deep into World Showcase.
