Hollywood Studios' Thrill Ride Problem Leaves Families Scrambling
Hollywood Studios at Disney World is home to over 50 attractions across its four theme parks, but thrill-seekers may find themselves stuck in long lines. With nine rides available, five of them are classified as thrill rides: Slinky Dog Dash, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
The average wait time for each of these thrill rides is staggering, with some reaching up to 62 minutes. For example, Slinky Dog Dash has an average wait time of 62 minutes, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance clocks in at 53 minutes. Even when all ride vehicles are operational, these long lines can be overwhelming.
But it's not just thrill-seekers who may struggle with the limited options. Expecting mothers and small children will find that over 50% of the park's attractions have height requirements or other restrictions. Only two rides, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway and Toy Story Mania!, do not have height restrictions.
Fortunately, Hollywood Studios offers a range of shows that cater to all ages, including Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, and The Little Mermaid - A Musical Adventure. These shows can provide a welcome break from the heat and crowds, and are an excellent option for families with young children or expecting mothers.
