Epcot Roller Coaster Evacuation Reveals Rare Behind-the-Scenes Look

A recent in-ride shutdown at Disney's EPCOT theme park gave guests an unexpected behind-the-scenes look at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster.

The incident occurred when a mid-ride technical difficulty forced cast members to evacuate seven ride vehicles, leaving all those guests stranded. Once safety restraints were released, guests could view the coaster's full layout illuminated by the house lights, a perspective almost never seen outside maintenance walkthroughs.

Marisha, who experienced the evacuation firsthand with her daughter, noted that their vehicle was positioned on the track, making it difficult for them to hear the announcements cast members made throughout the delay. However, Marisha's daughter received a Lightning Lane pass, allowing her to return and experience the ride without delays during their trip.
