The new-generation freighter is powered by twin GE9X engines and boasts a maximum structural payload of 118 tonnes and a fully loaded range of 4,410 nm. This upgrade will significantly enhance the airline's cargo capacity and efficiency.

Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew stated that the aircraft 'will offer greater payload capacity, operational flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability' and help facilitate global trade and strengthen supply chain connectivity.
