Ethiopian Airlines has placed an order for ten Boeing freighters, solidifying its position as a major player in the air cargo market. The order consists of eight 777-8 Freighters and two 777 Freighters.

The new aircraft are designed to meet growing demand for air freight, with Ethiopian currently serving over 70 cargo destinations worldwide. This deal marks the carrier's second purchase of Boeing's 777X family, following its initial order of eight 777-9 passenger aircraft.

Boeing claims that the 777-8 Freighter is the largest and most capable twin-engine freighter, making it an ideal choice for Ethiopian's expanding international cargo operations. The new fleet will enable the airline to expand its global network and respond to increasing demand for air freight services.
