Ethiopian Airlines Orders 10 Boeing Aircraft for Cargo Expansion
Ethiopian Airlines has placed an order for ten Boeing aircraft to expand its cargo capacity and international freight network.
The agreement marks the airline's second purchase from Boeing's 777X family, following its previous order of eight 777-9 passenger aircraft.
The new order includes eight 777-8 Freighters and two 777 Freighters, with the latter being a variant that offers greater payload capacity than the existing 777F model.
Ethiopian Airlines will become the first African customer for the 777-8F, which is designed to have a maximum structural payload of 118 tonnes.
