EU Approves Gilead's Trodelvy Combo with Keytruda for Breast Cancer Treatment

The European Commission has approved Gilead's Trodelvy in combination with Merck's Keytruda as a first-line treatment for adults with PD-L1-positive, unresectable, locally advanced, or metastatic triple-negative breast cancer.

This approval marks the first time Trodelvy plus Keytruda has been approved for this indication. The news was announced by Gilead Sciences on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Trodelvy is a CDK4/6 inhibitor that works in combination with other therapies to help control cancer cell growth. In clinical trials, the combination of Trodelvy and Keytruda has shown promising results in treating triple-negative breast cancer.
