Eva Airways Eyes Large Airbus and Boeing Order for Fleet Expansion

Taiwan's Eva Airways is considering an order for two dozen large passenger jets from Airbus and Boeing as part of its efforts to modernize and expand its fleet.

The airline wants to lock in final replacements for its widebody Boeing 777-300ER planes, which make up nearly a third of its 89-strong fleet. Bloomberg reported that the carrier is weighing offers from both manufacturers and may ultimately decide not to place an order at all.

Eva Air expects to reach a final decision within the next few months, with deliveries under a potential new order set to begin in the mid-2030s. This would build on the roughly three dozen widebody jets Eva Air has already ordered from the two manufacturers since 2023.
