Ex-Google PM Launches Free Financial Planning Tool for Tech Workers

Adam Waaramaa, a former Group Product Manager at Google, has launched Appleseed Planner, a free AI-guided financial planning tool for high-net-worth professionals.

The platform was created to address the frustration of manual data entry and inadequate financial tools that failed to accurately model real-life expenses and market downturns. Waaramaa developed an advisor-grade Monte Carlo simulator that automates life-event modeling, allowing users to build a retirement plan in just five minutes.

With over $33 billion in assets modeled across 11,000 users, Appleseed Planner has gained traction among tech professionals who use it to stress-test their plans against scenarios like AI-driven layoffs or market crashes. The platform includes features such as Adaptive Spending, Spouse Share mode, and a premium tier with live account syncing and Roth conversion optimization.

Waaramaa left his role at Google to focus on Appleseed Planner after realizing the project had surpassed its initial scope. He aims to provide a user-friendly experience for high-net-worth individuals who want to avoid manual calculations and get clear insights into their financial plans.
