Expedition Therapeutics Secures $115 Million in Series B Funding Round
Expedition Therapeutics Inc., a San Francisco-based company founded by former healthcare investment banker Yi Larson, has secured $115 million in its Series B funding round. This latest transaction comes just 10 months after the firm raised $165 million in its Series A round.
The new investors include General Atlantic, which led the round, as well as RA Capital Management and Vivo Capital. Existing investors such as Sofinnova Investments, Novo Holdings, Forbion Ventures, KKR & Co.'s Dawn Biopharma unit, Sanofi Ventures, Venrock, and BVF Partners also participated.
Larson's experience in assembling deals at Goldman Sachs, where she played a role in the $46.8 billion buyout of Genentech Inc. by Roche in 2009, is seen as a key factor in securing this significant investment.
'It's been a career built on good investor relationships,' Larson said, highlighting her ability to build strong connections with investors.
