Extreme Networks Rides AI-Powered Growth, Takes Share from Rivals
Extreme Networks is experiencing double-digit growth and landing larger enterprise projects thanks to its AI-powered Platform ONE, CEO Ed Meyercord says.
The company's strategy has created bigger opportunities for partners, accelerating customer migration, and helping it take share from rivals Cisco and HPE. In the past year, Extreme has seen a 36 percent jump in large enterprise opportunities, with adoption of its AI-powered platform happening much faster than cloud technology.
Meyercord credits the company's channel-first approach, fabric networking technology, and proactive context-aware AI assistant Agent ONE Coworker for driving growth. The new agent is part of Platform ONE, which unifies network management, security, and automation. It's designed to proactively help IT teams identify issues, recommend actions, and accelerate troubleshooting based on the unique context of their network environments.
Meyercord believes Extreme has an advantage in building the industry's leading AI networking platform due to its size and focus on enterprise networks. The company's end-to-end wired, wireless, SD-WAN, security solutions are baked into a single platform, making it easier for customers to manage their network environments.
