FAA Certifies Boeing 737 MAX-7 After Decade-Long Review
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified Boeing's 737 MAX-7 after nearly a decade-long review.
The certification process involved extensive work to resolve complex technical issues and complete a thorough review of the aircraft's design and supporting safety analyses.
The FAA required several safety improvements for the MAX-7, including clearer information and warnings for pilots, to prevent engine inlet overheating and potential structural weakening.
Boeing can now begin production of the 737 MAX-7 after receiving authorization from the FAA. Safety inspectors will remain on site at Boeing facilities to monitor manufacturing processes.
