FAA Clears Boeing 737 MAX 10 From Safety Concerns Amid Software Glitch Investigation
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has cleared the Boeing 737 MAX 10 from safety concerns after investigating a software glitch. The issue, known as U.14, could affect certain landing procedures when an aircraft is forced into a go-around.
Boeing notified the FAA of the problem last month and worked closely with other MAX operators to resolve it. The FAA reviewed the software and determined that pilots retain full control of the aircraft in these situations, making it not a safety concern.
The administration will issue a special bulletin for airlines on how to recognize and respond to this issue if it arises. Other variants of the MAX U.14 software can revert to older versions if needed until the problem is fixed.
