FAA Clears Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch
Boeing shares rose 1.5% after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) found no safety concerns with a software glitch in the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The FAA convened an internal panel to assess whether the issue presented an unsafe condition requiring immediate action, but ultimately determined that pilots retain full control of the aircraft and flight crew indications are clear and unambiguous.
The software problem had raised concerns about potential safety implications when 737 MAX aircraft are landing under certain circumstances, according to The Wall Street Journal. However, the FAA stated that it will consider appropriate action if new information is received about this issue.
