FAA Clears Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch, Approves Larger Version
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has cleared the Boeing 737 MAX for approval of its larger version, known as the MAX 10, after a panel of experts determined that a software glitch in some flight computers does not pose a safety concern.
The FAA said that pilots retain full control of the aircraft and the indications to the flight crew are clear and unambiguous. This determination was made after the agency delayed certification of the MAX 10 earlier this week to complete an analysis of the issue.
