FAA Clears Boeing 737 MAX Software Issue
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has found that a software issue affecting some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft does not pose a flight-safety risk.
The agency's Corrective Action Review Board concluded this after examining the problem, which can leave pilots without automated flight guidance during a specific go-around scenario.
Boeing disclosed the issue on September 26, 2026, and had notified operators that it was developing a software update to address the problem.
