FAA Clears Boeing's New 737 Max 7 Jetliner for Flight After Years of Delays

Boeing's new 737 Max 7 jetliner has been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after years of delays and technical issues.

The certification comes nearly a decade after Boeing first unveiled the plane, which is part of its popular 737 family of commercial jets.

The FAA said it cleared the new plane for flight after additional testing, design changes, and an extensive review of its design and safety systems.

Since the crashes of two larger Max 8 planes in 2018 and 2019 that killed 346 people, the FAA has overhauled how it certifies Boeing aircraft, requiring more stringent oversight and safety measures.
