Visa has agreed to acquire AI-based fraud intelligence firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion in a move aimed at expanding its real-time fraud detection and cybersecurity tools.

The deal, which is set to further deepen Visa's reliance on artificial intelligence-driven security, comes as the company seeks to keep its payment network secure amid evolving fraud methods.

BioCatch focuses on behavioral analytics to help identify and prevent digital scams by analyzing how users type, swipe, and interact with devices in real-time.
