FAA Grants Boeing Waiver on Emissions Rules for Additional 777F Freighters

Boeing received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to sell an additional 35 Boeing 777F freighters after 2028, thanks to a waiver of emissions rules.

The FAA granted the waiver due to strong customer demand and a delay in the certification timeline of the next-generation 777-8F replacement plane, which is expected to enter service in approximately 2029.

Without this exemption, Boeing would have faced a production gap that could have cost more than $15 billion in U.S. exports.
