Faro AI Secures $37.3 Million to Expand Agentic AI Platform for Clinical Development
Faro AI, a developer of agentic AI platforms for clinical development, has secured $37.3 million in Series B funding to expand its technology and deepen adoption among pharmaceutical companies.
The round was led by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and S32, with existing investors General Catalyst, Northpond Ventures, Polaris Partners, PTX Capital, and Zetta participating alongside new investor Ankona Capital.
Faro's platform uses structured clinical data models to allow AI systems to reason across scientific, medical, regulatory, and operational information. This approach is particularly important in clinical development, where decisions are often based on complex information distributed across trial protocols, patient populations, regulatory requirements, historical study results, and operational data.
The company's technology is now used by six of the world's 10 largest pharmaceutical companies, indicating significant adoption among large drug developers. Faro plans to use the new funding to expand its platform, covering more stages of the clinical development lifecycle, from early human studies to later-stage trials and regulatory approval.
