Fashion Giants Team Up for Net-Zero Carbon Supply Chain
The Climate Pledge Fashion Coalition is an industry initiative co-founded by Amazon, Stella McCartney, and Canopy to scale more sustainable materials in the fashion supply chain. The coalition aims to help prevent waste and reduce environmental effects across the industry.
The coalition connects over 60 industry leaders, including fashion brands, innovators, manufacturers, and retailers, working towards net-zero carbon by 2040. It combines collective demand with new financing models and tools like the Fashion Coalition Lever Library to bring more sustainable materials and processes to scale.
'Fashion has no shortage of ambition on sustainability,' said Kara Hurst, chief sustainability officer at Amazon. 'People are already looking for more sustainable options when they shop, and now the industry needs to deliver at scale.'
