Fatal Shooting Rocks Claremont Gas Station
A fatal shooting occurred at a Chevron gas station/McDonald's in Claremont on Monday morning, September 21st. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officer involved has not been named.
A security officer from the Claremont Promenade reported hearing gunfire around 9:39 am while patrolling the area just west of the shooting site. He drove to the location and saw two sheriff's deputies with the male subject already on the ground in the gas station lot.
The incident caused streets and businesses near American Avenue and the Indian Hill Boulevard 10 Freeway exit in Claremont and San Bernardino Avenue in Pomona to be closed. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting.
