Father-Son Duo Marks Four Decades of Service at Gillette Factory
Ashley Keep and his father have marked an impressive milestone in their careers at the Gillette factory in Reading, where they have collectively spent nearly five decades working. The pair's dedication to the company has been recognized by Procter & Gamble (P&G), who features them in a new film series showcasing the people behind its UK manufacturing sites.
Ashley, a team leader from Reading, has worked at the plant for 15 years, following in his father's footsteps. His father dedicated 30 years to the same site, contributing to the production of Gillette products in Reading. Together, they have contributed nearly five decades to the factory.
P&G hopes that stories like Ashley and his father's will encourage more people to consider careers in modern manufacturing. The company has a long history of connection with the local community in Reading, with over 100 people employed at the site. The plant produces Gillette shave preps and Old Spice deodorants for markets across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
