US freight operator FedEx has unveiled a Boeing 777F aircraft with a retro livery inspired by its original Dassault Falcon 20 jets. The plane, registered N884FD, was originally delivered to the carrier in 2011 and features the name 'Rosie', after founder Frederick W Smith's granddaughter.

The unveiling coincided with the renaming of Memphis airport to Frederick W. Smith International Airport, honoring the company's founder who passed away in 2025. FedEx says this represents a meaningful connection between its past, present, and future.

According to FedEx, the strategic location and reliable weather of Memphis made it an ideal choice for the company's home base when it started operations in 1973.
