Fender Cracks Down on 60 Companies Over Stratocaster Copyright Infringement
Fender has issued cease-and-desist orders to 60 companies as part of its high-profile Stratocaster copyright campaign.
The move comes after Fender won a default EU copyright ruling, and the company is targeting large manufacturers, retailers, and distributors selling Strat-style guitars, including Amazon.
Fender CEO Bud Cole stated that boutique builders are no longer the target of their legal action, with the company focusing solely on big manufacturers.
