Finning Power Opens New Depot in Ashford to Serve UK Infrastructure Projects

Finning Power has opened a new depot in Ashford, Kent, to provide Caterpillar power generation equipment and service support closer to London and South East infrastructure projects. The Ashford site will act as a regional hub for temporary and standby power, reducing mobilisation times for construction, tunnelling, and rail works.

The depot will stock Caterpillar diesel and gas generator sets for both temporary and standby configurations, with loadbanks held on site to enable on-hire acceptance testing and periodic proof-load of installed standby units. Associated LV and MV switchgear packages are available to integrate sets with existing site distribution systems.

Finning Power's move within the South East is part of a larger trend towards regionalised depots for power hire fleets serving linear projects and multi-site frameworks.
