Finnings Expands UK Presence with John F Hunt Power Acquisition

Finnings, the world's largest Caterpillar dealer, has expanded its presence in the UK and Ireland through an acquisition. The company has bought John F Hunt Power, a generator rental firm with about 2,500 units across the region.

The deal is expected to more than triple Finning's power rental revenue in the UK and Ireland, according to an October 1 release from the Canadian equipment dealer. It will also enhance Finning's ability to serve larger projects and complex power requirements.

Finnings funded the acquisition through its existing liquidity and does not expect it to have a material impact on its consolidated revenue, earnings or balance sheet.
