FIP Demands Thorough Scrutiny of Boeing 787 Technical Records in AI-171 Crash Probe
The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) has called for a thorough investigation into the crash of Air India's AI-171 Boeing 787 aircraft, citing electrical and electronic system concerns.
In a letter to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), FIP President Capt. CS Randhawa urged a comprehensive evaluation of technical records related to the accident, which occurred in June 2025.
The pilots' body pointed out that the Boeing 787's highly integrated electrical system architecture makes it crucial to examine potential faults and anomalies in electrical generation, distribution, monitoring, and data-network systems.
