Flight Simulation Developers Announce New Airports and Aircraft

Flight simulation enthusiasts have been treated to a slew of new airport and aircraft announcements in recent days. Gaya Simulations has confirmed that Santa Barbara Airport (KSBA) is 'coming soon' for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, with a dedicated team working on the smaller airport.

Meanwhile, Verticalsim released new screenshots and development updates for its Orlando International Airport (KMCO) project in MSFS 2024. The team is focusing on capturing the authentic feel of the airport, including weathered concrete and worn asphalt.

Orbx has also released Pierce County Airport (KPLU), also known as Thun Field, for MSFS 2024. The airport features a range of bespoke details, including UHD PBR texturing and dynamic night lighting.
