Florida Jury Deliberates in Alleged Murder-for-Hire Killing of Microsoft Manager Jared Bridegan

A Florida jury has begun deliberations in the case of the alleged murder-for-hire killing of Jared Bridegan, a Microsoft design manager who was gunned down four years ago.

Bridegan was shot after he got out of his SUV to remove a tire from a road in Jacksonville Beach. The attack stumped police for months as they struggled to understand why someone with no apparent enemies would be killed while his daughter sat nearby in her car seat.

The prosecution alleges that the murder was a result of a murder-for-hire scheme hatched by Bridegan's wealthy ex-wife and her husband.
