Flydubai Bolsters Fleet with New 737 MAX Deliveries and Cabin Upgrades
flyDubai is expanding its fleet beyond 100 aircraft with the delivery of 11 additional Boeing 737 MAXs in 2026. The airline will receive seven Boeing 737-9 MAX and four Boeing 737-8 MAX, featuring flat-bed Business Class seats on some aircraft. These new deliveries are part of flyDubai's long-term fleet modernization plan to replace older aircraft and increase capacity on high-demand routes.
The airline is also rolling out a cabin retrofit program from September, which will upgrade 21 aircraft with lie-flat seats in Business Class and larger Space Bins for increased baggage capacity. This program builds on flyDubai's previous investment in upgrading its Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 fleet with lie-flat Business Class seats.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flyDubai, stated that the airline's growth is a significant milestone and reflects its commitment to continuously enhancing the onboard experience. The deliveries will provide capacity and flexibility to support flyDubai's growing operations, operating one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the skies.
