flydubai Expands Fleet Beyond 100 Aircraft with New Deliveries and Cabin Upgrades
flydubai has announced plans to expand its fleet beyond 100 aircraft by the end of 2026, marking a significant milestone in its growth strategy. The airline will take delivery of 11 additional Boeing jets, including seven 737-9 MAX and four 737-8 MAX models, which will replace older aircraft and provide greater flexibility for network expansion.
The fleet modernization plan aims to offer customers a more consistent and refined onboard experience while reducing fuel consumption. flydubai's Chief Executive Officer, Ghaith Al Ghaith, stated that growing the fleet is crucial to supporting the airline's ongoing expansion and meeting strong demand for Business Class on key international routes.
The airline will also roll out its next phase of cabin retrofit program in September, upgrading 21 aircraft with lie-flat Business Class seats, replacing overhead bins with larger Boeing Space Bins, and enhancing overall product consistency across its growing fleet. The upgrades reflect flydubai's commitment to continuously elevating the customer experience as it expands its network.
