flydubai Expands Fleet to Over 100 Aircraft with New 737 MAX Deliveries
flydubai is expanding its fleet to over 100 aircraft as it continues to grow and modernize. The airline has announced that it will take delivery of 11 additional Boeing 737 MAX jets throughout the rest of 2026, including seven 737 MAX 9 aircraft and four 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The deliveries are part of a wider fleet-modernisation strategy to replace older aircraft and provide additional capacity on high-demand routes. The newer-generation aircraft will also maintain a younger and more fuel-efficient fleet.
Flydubai is investing in the refurbishment of its existing Boeing 737 fleet, including installing lie-flat business class seats on 21 aircraft currently fitted with recliner-style business class seats. The airline is also upgrading overhead bins to Boeing's larger 'Space' bins, which can accommodate up to six standard-sized bags.
