Flydubai Fleet Expansion Hits 100 Aircraft Milestone
Flydubai is expanding its fleet by adding 11 new aircraft to reach over 100 planes by the end of the year. The airline will introduce Boeing 737-9 MAX and Boeing 737-8 MAX, with the former featuring a Business Class section with lie-flat seats. This move aims to meet growing demand for premium capacity on international routes.
As part of its growth strategy, Flydubai is launching a new cabin retrofit programme in September that will run for 12 months. The programme involves replacing older aircraft and introducing modern features such as Boeing's larger 'Space Bins' that can accommodate up to six standard-sized bags.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, stated that these deliveries are central to the company’s long-term fleet strategy. He added that Flydubai will continue to invest in enhancing its fleet.
