A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday after one pilot allegedly attacked the other. The Boeing 737 was flying over Jordanian airspace when it began sending distress signals, indicating a possible hijacking attempt.

According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Indian pilot Smit Machchhar was stabbed and is in stable condition. An Omani national has been arrested by Saudi authorities and is being questioned about the incident.

Possengers on board helped stop the attack by intervening in the cockpit. One passenger, Yaniv Hayun, reportedly put another pilot in a chokehold and took control of the plane until it landed safely in Tabuk.
