flydubai Takes Delivery of 11 Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft in 2026
flydubai has announced plans to take delivery of 11 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in 2026, including seven 737-9 and four 737-8 models. This addition is part of flydubai's fleet modernization efforts and will increase capacity and flexibility for the airline. The new aircraft are scheduled to arrive in 2026.
The retrofitting of existing aircraft with lie-flat Business seats and larger overhead bins is also underway, with 21 jets set to receive the upgrades over a period of 12 months starting from September. This upgrade aims to accelerate product consistency and potentially lift yields through upgraded Business Class cabins.
According to flydubai's plans, the Boeing 737-9 MAX will offer a higher premium capacity, targeting higher-yield traffic with its 16 Business seats and 156 Economy seats. The larger overhead bins are expected to improve boarding efficiency and on-time performance.
