A former Bosque Farms police officer, Ricky Dominguez, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of aggravated battery after being accused of rape. He initially faced a rape charge but took a plea deal and was sentenced to 364 days in prison. However, the judge suspended that sentence, and he will serve it on supervised probation instead.

Meanwhile, the Bernalillo County District Attorney's office has launched a dashboard tracking judges' pretrial detention decisions. The dashboard aims to provide transparency into how often suspects are released from custody while awaiting their trials.

New Mexico leaders have also been commenting on a potential Google data center in Lea County. Google claims it will pay for the energy used by the center and manage water use responsibly. However, officials note that any sale of the land must be reviewed and approved by the New Mexico State Board of Finance.
