Fresh Coat Painters Fosters Community Growth Through Franchise Ownership
Fresh Coat Painters has become a pathway to entrepreneurship for over 190 locations across the country, allowing owners to build businesses and legacies. However, one of the often overlooked benefits of franchise ownership is the impact on local communities.
For Isabel Calero, owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Johns Creek in Georgia, this comes in many forms, including steady employment opportunities and Fresh Coat Cares projects. 'My husband and I got into franchising after reviewing many other companies,' she said. 'We liked the sense of community that Fresh Coat offered through the business.'
Calero has completed multiple Fresh Coat Cares projects, including one with Rainbow Village in Duluth, which helps families get back on their feet and in their homes. 'We painted all of their front doors Positive Red from Sherwin-Williams so each door had a fresh coat of paint,' she said.
Sarah Ross, owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Marble Falls, Southwest Austin, and Hill Country, has also been a part of Fresh Coat Cares projects. 'The benefit of Fresh Coat Cares is the opportunity it allows through Fresh Coat corporate and Sherwin-Williams to keep us active in the community,' she said.
Ross finds deep meaning in the impact she's able to have on her own teams, which has led to remarkable employee tenure within her organization. 'I think most people get into business ownership for the benefit of being their own boss, but the benefit that I wasn’t expecting when I started this journey was the pride that comes in being able to employ others,' she said.
