Nvidia is reportedly considering an investment in data labeling provider Mercor, which could value the company at $20 billion. The potential investment would be part of a larger funding round that has not yet been disclosed.

Mercor's revenue from Nvidia has been growing as the chip designer focuses on developing its Nemotron open-source models. In the last quarter alone, Mercor earned tens of millions of dollars from Nvidia.

This is not Nvidia's first investment in a data labeling provider. The company previously invested in Scale, another data labeling firm, which was valued at $14 billion after its 2024 funding round.
